Craig Foster
When looking into the background of an Artist, there always seems to be some sort of an interesting story. My story is a quite familiar one ( Familiar with Tattoo Artists from the 90's) Single ,hardworking Parent...lots of trouble...difficulty finding my placement in life...etc.
But that is a long story, and we do not have enough time for that one. Besides...I have arrived, and all is well now. We should just focus on my life with Tattooing. I began learning to Tattoo in the spring of 1995. I was the Apprentice of a Cobb County local Tattoo Artist : Jeff Burgess ( Aka: Miami) at a Tattoo studio in Douglasville Ga. named "Tattoo's by Miami". I worked under him for a year before moving over to Deano Cook's " Psycho Tattoo in Marietta , Ga. I worked with Psycho Tattoo for 6 years until landing a job with the late " Cap Szumski, and his Atlanta studio named" Timeless Tattoo". After three years, I decided to move my family to Carrollton , Ga.( 32 miles west of Atlanta) to open my own studio " Skinwerks Tattoo.
After 19 years at the same location, and the passing of my Mother, I decided to purchase a building for my new studio " Guilded Cardinal Tattoo" ( Established June of 2023)

Hello, I’m Joseph. I’m a Georgia native that’s been tattooing for over a decade and been in Carrollton for 5 years now. I love researching different art styles and the lore behind tattoos, art and symbols. Throughout my career I’ve become familiar with various styles of tattooing but I always gravitate towards illustrative blackwork. I’m always striving to give honest, informative and helpful advice so my clients know what to expect with their designs.
